Late birthday presents

Hi everyone!

A few weeks ago was my birthday and 2 weeks ago I celebrated with a few of my friends. The reason it was so late is because it was very hard to find a date that all of us were free.

This year we arranged something special, kind of a surprise birthday with a twist. The person who’s birthday it is does not know what will go on that day. S the other people have to arrange an activity. Normally the one who’s birthday it was arranged something but we wanted to try out something new. And I have to say that I like this arrangement!

For my birthday we went to Arcen (Holland) and we went to some sort of spa. The water they use in the facilities is mineral water, so it is very good quality water. There were pools (inside and outside), they had a sauna, infra red cabins, hamam, solaria. There was everything you needed. But I have been to better ones. You did have a variety of things to do, but for a few of them you had to pay extra (infra red, hamam, solaria), which makes it kind of an expensive day. In other ones I have been to those things were included in the entrance price. It was a public one (bathing suit required).

But I have to say that we really had fun. And after the spa we went to dinner at a Chinese place near where we live. And while we were there waiting for our dinner I got my presents. I got 2 products from rituals, a scrub (Good Luck Scrub) and a shower gel in the scent sweet orange and cedar wood. It smells so good! I really like the products of Rituals because they smell good and they are great for my skin. I also got a Mac eyeshadow, it’s the paint pot in the color ‘Bare study’. It’s a very neutral champagne-like color. The eyeshadow is a cream shadow so it is very easy to apply (I use my finger because it is easier to apply that way) and it stays on almost the whole day. And last I got a black and gold bracelet. It’s a nice bracelet that goes with a lot of things. And last but not least my day at the spa was also a present.

I also got other presents (mostly money) from family and so, but that was on other days, that’s why I don’t include it here.

What do you guys do for birthdays? And what presents do you like to get?

Hot tub cinema London

Are you tired of the old drive-in movies? Hot tub cinema came out with a new concept based on it. You can enjoy a great movie while relaxing in a hot tub.

During the summer they are located on rooftops in central London. When in winter they take their concept indoors. The events they organize are public and you can rent a tub with your friends or get a ticket to share a tub with other people. Besides the public events you can also contact them for private events. At the moment they are only operating in London and the UK, but they are preparing to go internationally in the future.

Since the first rooftop screening in 2012 the event has grown so they have 20 hot tubs, 2 screens and a surround sound system for the real cinema experience.
One little thing to mention is that the movies played aren’t the most recent ones.

For more information on dates, movies and prices, check http://www.hottubcinema.com.

I would love to try it out sometime.

Mini haul

Hi everyone!

I’m sorry that my uploading is not realy consequent, but i’m having a few problems with my thesis for my Master year at school and I want to get that figured out because the 21st of May I have to file it.

So I tought I would give you a mini haul. I needed to pick something up at the local drugstore, and I got a few other products as well.

I originaly went to pick up the Compeed anti-blister stick. It’s a stick that prevents blisters. Every year when the weather gets better I want to put on my more ‘summer-ish’ shoes, and almost every time I have some blisters. Mostly I use the Compeed plasters. But I want to prevent from getting blisters so I use the stick. It prevents friction which causes the blisters. It’s a bit like a lip balm, you just put it on your foot, and it’s like it places a film on your foot and your ready to go. You can apply it multiple times a day for better use.

I also got 3 other things, namely a cover stick from Essence, a long lasting eyepencil waterproof from catrice and an eyelash curler from NYC.

I haven’t used the previous named products, exept for the Compeed anti-blister stick. So I keep you guys updated about the use of the products.

Till next time!
